How do I sign electronic documents?


We understand that not everyone is comfortable with signing documents online, however it is the safest and fastest way to proceed.

We can not deposit any loan advance or process your file until we have all of the required documentation and documents signed. Failure to do so will result in delays with receiving any funds.

Can you help me if I'm not good with the new technologies?


Yes! Please call us and we will schedule a time to do your application over the phone. You will still need access to a fax or a photocopier.

There are differents ways you can send us your documents. Please make sure to indicate your full name.

What happen if I'm missing or didn't sign some documents?


We can not deposit any loan advance or process your file until we have all of the signatures and documents listed below.

Failure to do so will result in delays with receiving any funds.

When will I know if I'm qualified or not?


It depends on when you submitted your application. Our business hours are Monday-Friday 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM (Eastern Time Zone) During our business hours You will receive an email shortly after with the status of your application*. After our business hours You will receive an email on the morning of the next business day with the status of your application*. * You will receive an answer within 24 to 48 hours for the Mortgage application. Once you're qualified, make sure that you sign and send us all the required documents as soon as possible to receive your fund.




Do you accept disability as a source of income for our services?


Unfortunately for the moment we don't because of legal reasons. If you need more details please contact us.





Payday Loan

What are the conditions to meet to be eligible for the payday loan?


  1. For Ontario resident only
  2. You can't borrow more than 50% of your last paycheck (Maximum of $1500)




What documents do I need to apply for a Payday Loan?


To apply for a Payday Loan, we will need the following documents in order to process your file.

  1. Your last pay stub (must be less than 30 days)
  2. A statement of the last 3 months of activity of your bank account
  3. One government issued photo ID
  4. A VOID check or a BANK STAMPED direct deposit form
  5. One proof of address (utility bill, credit card bill)

There are 4 differents ways you can send us your documents.

  1. You can upload them while you are completing your application, at the bottom/end of each form (Fastest way to process your file)
  2. You can upload them directly on our website on our FILE DROP OPTION

How much can I borrow for a Payday Loan?


You can borrow up to 50% of the value of your last paycheck for a maximum of $1500.




How will I receive the Payday Loan?


You will receive either a direct deposit in your account or an Email MoneyTransfer to the email you entered in your application, once we receive all the required documents and signatures.




How do I repay the Payday Loan?


Repayments are to be paid at your next pay date via E-Transfer with the following information: Email: stephane.gagon@thefinancecompany.ca Password: payment

What is the Interest Rate for the Payday Loan?


The Interest Rate for Payday Loan is 15% ($15 per $100 borrowed). Example: a $500 loan will have $75 of interest.





Locked-In Pension Plan

What are the conditions to meet to be eligible for the locked-in pension plan?


  1. The value/balance of the plan must be of at least $20,000
  2. Must be under the age of 65
  3. The locked-in RRSP, LIRA or Pension plan must be from a former employer, divorce settlement or death of a spouse
  4. Residents of P.E.I. are not eligible




When and how will I receive the loan advance?


You will receive the loan advance by a programmed direct deposit to the account you submitted within 2-3 days AFTER we received all the required documents from you and that you have signed all the contracts In order to receive the advance you must:

  1. Have signed all the following documents we sent you:
    • The loan agreement contract
    • The account creation package
    • The loan advance agreement
  2. Have submitted all the required documents we needed from you:
    • Investment statement
    • One government issued photo ID
    • A VOID check or a BANK STAMPED direct deposit form
    • One proof of address (utility bill, credit card bill)
Failure to do so will result in delays with receiving any funds. You are required to send us all required documentation as soon as possible in order to process your request.




Can I pay the loan faster and if so is there any penalty?


This is an open loan and you can repay your loan faster without any penalty.




What happens once the loan against your pension plan is repaid?


You have two options:

  1. You can leave your plan with us and continue to generate profits
  2. You can take back the remaining portion that we held in collateral for your loan to another financial institution.

Why do you need my spouse/common law partner's signature?


Because a pension plan is a marital asset, the spouse/partner in law has to sign is on the account creation package that he/she is aware and gives consent to the plan being transferred.

The way the signature process works is:

  1. You sign the document
  2. Our company signs the document
  3. The document is returned once more to your spouse/common law partner to sign

I am still waiting for my advance, i have applied yesterday?


Please be patient, once the funds are programmed, it takes 2-3 business days to receive your funds. We understand that you are in a stressful position , but there is nothing we can do to speed up this process You will receive the loan advance by a programmed direct deposit to the account you submitted within 2-3 days AFTER we received all the required documents from you and that you have signed all the contracts. In order to receive the advance you must: 1:Have signed all the following documents we sent you 2:Have submitted all the required documents we needed from you: Failure to do so will result in delays with receiving any funds. You are required to send us all required documentation as soon as possible in order to process your request.




I have a registered pension plan RPP , what can I do to get a loan against it?


In order to move your rpp , you will need to fill up the termination package that your employer has provided for you . You will need to fill them , sign them, and return them to us .




Do you do loans against CPP (Canadian pension plan )


Unfortunatly we do not




Can I increase my loan amount , or get a second loan against the same plan ?


Unfortunatly, once the contracts are signed, we cannot increase the amount of your loan.





Personal Loan

What are the conditions to meet to be eligible for a personal loan?


  1. Be a Canadian resident
  2. Be at least 18 years old
  3. Be employed from the same employer for at least 6 months

Limited amount of personal loan


We offer a limited number of personal loans each month. Please note that once we reach our capacity for personal loans, we cannot process your application. However, we will keep your application in file (IF YOU QUALIFY) and will email you once we start to accept applications again. If we have reached our cap, a message will be displayed on top of the application form.





Car Loan

What are the conditions to meet to be eligible for a Car Loan?


  1. Be employed from the same employer for at least 6 months
  2. Car must be 5 years old or less
  3. Purchase price must be $25,000 or less

Payday Loans are high cost loans. Loan amounts are subject to net pay and other qualification requirements. Ontario Residents: The maximum allowable cost of borrowing under payday loan agreements is $15 per each $100 advanced. The cost of borrowing at The Finance Company is $15 per each $100 advanced. On a $300 loan for 14 days, the cost of borrowing is $45, with a total payback amount of $345.
